Etymology

Literally, “the trail leads to the head cheese factory”. From a headline published by the newspaper Ajan Sana concerning the 1931/32 Tattarisuo mystery in which human body parts were discovered in a spring in Malmi, Helsinki. Contrary to actual use of the phrase, the head cheese factory was not involved in the matter in any way and successfully sued for libel.
