Tày

Etymology

From Proto-Tai *mɯəᴬ. Cognate with Lao ເມືອ (mư̄a), Northern Thai ᨾᩮᩥᩬᩋ, Lü ᦵᦙᦲ (moe), Shan မိူဝ်း (móe), Thai เมือ (mʉʉa).
