1. (organic chemistry) The anthraquinone derivative 1,7-dihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-methyl-9,10-anthraquinone that is a bioactive metabolite produced by a plant-pathogenic fungus of the genus Stemphylium (family Pleosporaceae, order Pleosporales)
