editCoined by Johann Eduard Erdmann as New Latin Panlogismus in Die Entwicklung der deutschen Speculation seit Kant. Ultimately from Ancient Greek παν- (pan-) + λόγος (lógos) + -ισμός (-ismós), equivalent to pan- + Logos + -ism.
