Etymology edit

From Proto-Khasian *pnlǝŋ, likely from Proto-Austroasiatic *pləəŋʔ. Cognate with Pnar pylleiñ, and possibly with Vietnamese trứng, Muong tlởng and Semai pəŋləːk.[1]
