Pluralized form of *spagètis, borrowed from Italian spaghetti.

Usage notes

• Not documented in most dictionaries despite being used commercially. makaronai (“noodles; pasta”) is nonetheless still preferred at shops.
• In the singular, indeclinable spagèti is generally used instead of *spagètis, except possibly for one singular strand of spaghetti.
