Cognate with Cree ᑕᑳᐧᑭᐣ (takaaykin, fall, it is fall), Unami tahkoku (it is fall), Penobscot takʷάko (it is fall, autumn), Malecite-Passamaquoddy toqakiw (it is fall, autumn), Mohegan-Pequot taqôquw (it is fall), Ojibwe dagwaagin (it is fall, autumn), Menominee takuakōwew (it is fall, autumn), Fox takwâkiwi (it is fall), Montagnais takuatshin (it is autumn).
