Etymology edit

From ùghá (midrib of an oilpalm frond) +‎ ighè (a root relating to the human rib). See Ijebu Yoruba ùwá (human rib), Standard Yoruba ọ̀wá (rib of palm frond), Èkìtì Yoruba ụ̀á (palm frond midrib).
