Welcome edit

Hello, welcome to Wiktionary, and thank you for your contributions so far.

If you are unfamiliar with wiki-editing, take a look at Help:How to edit a page. It is a concise list of technical guidelines to the wiki format we use here: how to, for example, make text boldfaced or create hyperlinks. Feel free to practice in the sandbox. If you would like a slower introduction we have a short tutorial.

These links may help you familiarize yourself with Wiktionary:

  • Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
  • Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
  • Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
  • If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
  • If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.
  • Whenever commenting on any discussion page, please sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) which automatically produces your username and timestamp.
  • You are encouraged to add a BabelBox to your userpage to indicate your self-assessed knowledge of languages.

Enjoy your stay at Wiktionary! --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 09:22, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

sl-conj, etc. edit

--77.105.27.163 21:31, 19 April 2012 (UTC) The preceding anonymous comment was left by User:Biblbroks.Reply

--BiblbroX дискашн 23:59, 21 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
--BiblbroX дискашн 18:11, 26 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

--BiblbroX дискашн 16:37, 28 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dovolim :-) Živel sem v Sloveniji 14 let do 1991-ega. Zdaj sem v Beogradu. Pa ti? Za About Slovene poglej npr. WT:About English, WT:About Serbo-Croatian ali WT:About German kako zgledajo. Lep pozdrav, --BiblbroX дискашн 11:42, 30 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

kljukica and že edit

Hello there. Thanks for cleaning up the Slovene entries I created. Two issues:

  1. If a "[s]trešica is a kljukica turned upside down", doesn't that make one of them a háček, but the other a circumflex? Could you please add a Slovene section to (deprecated template usage) strešica?
  2. Regarding this deletion, if (deprecated template usage) že is indeed the Slovene name of the letter (deprecated template usage) Ž, (deprecated template usage) ž, then there should be an entry for it, just like we have entries for Latin's names for the letters of its own alphabet. Is (deprecated template usage) že the Slovene name for (deprecated template usage) Ž, (deprecated template usage) ž or not?

Thanks for your time. — Raifʻhār Doremítzwr ~ (U · T · C) ~ 15:22, 23 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

FYI, I've responded on my talk page. — Raifʻhār Doremítzwr ~ (U · T · C) ~ 19:02, 28 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi bead-v. Just to let you know, I've ceased editing. You can find my response at User talk:Doremítzwr/Archive/03#Regarding kljukica and že. If you wish to respond, please do so here; I may see it, but I shall not respond. Sorry. I think, however, that our discussion had concluded; it was good working with you. Good luck with your endeavors here. — Raifʻhār Doremítzwr ~ (U · T · C) ~ 02:32, 3 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
I definitely hope you'll still see this message, even though I'm pretty late to respond. Indeed, I think we found a very good solution for the letters. I will however miss such productive cooperation in the future. For whatever reasons you made your decision, I wish you the best of luck! –bead-v, talk18:49, 4 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

sprejeti edit

--BiblbroX дискашн 17:25, 28 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ne moti me. --BiblbroX дискашн 09:47, 5 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Slovene verbal inflection templates edit

Slavic languages don't lend themselves well to templatization (at least on MediaWiki, sans any form of decent string search/extraction/pattern matching/regex support). So unless you're intent on reproducing the unbrowsable horror of [[Category:Russian noun inflection-table templates]], I suggest you focus your efforts on writing some kind of simple software that will automagically generate full inflections, or extract it from external sources (e.g. [1]). There is no shortage of disk space, and it would also significantly facilitate 3rd party reuse of Wiktionary content. Just a thought :] --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 21:26, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
