Teqball in Thai

I came across the word เทคบอล online. Do you think the first syllable would likely be pronounced short? --Apisite (talk) 18:00, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

@Apisite I'm not into sports and it's my first time hearing this word, lol! So, I relied on some videos on YouTube and found that the term is pronounced "เถ็ก-บ็อน" in this video and this video, and is pronounced "เถ็ก-บ็อล" in this video. "[คุณ]มีเนื้อหาของสารคดีชุดนี้แบบเป็นข้อความ[ออนไลน์]ไหม[ครับ]?"

("Do [you] have the contents of this documentary series in [online] text form [sir]?").

@Apisite I deeply apologise. I had no intention to offend you. Anyway, you may just remove the pronoun ผม or replace it with any other pronoun (such as the gender-neutral ฉัน or the feminine ดิฉัน, but the latter may sound quite formal) and refrain from including the particle ครับ or replace it with คะ. --Bitterschoko (talk) 12:26, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

@Apisite As regards your comment on that YouTube video, it is the best to remove the pronoun อิฉัน and leave it blank or replace it with ฉัน. As you might have seen in its entry, อิฉัน is now archaic or dated. As for the sentence above, I'll come back and translate it after my dinner. It's almost 8pm now (at my place). "คอมมิวนิสต์ รวมถึงช่วงแรกของคอมมิวนิสต์ (สังคมนิยม) เป็นอุดมการณ์ที่ตั้งอยู่บนการทำลายความสมัครสมานในหมู่ชนชั้นทางสังคมและกำจัดความเชื่อตามประเพณีกับคุณค่าทางศีลธรรม"

A comment: Although "ตั้งอยู่บน" is a straight translation of "base[d] on" and is comprehensible to Thai readers, it sounds foreign to Thai ears. But I didn't rephrase it because, like I said, it's comprehensible still and I wanted to keep the original wording.
