Thank you for your truly useful comments on the entry. However, that particular sentence indeed is in use, quite often, as almost a cliche. I believe it is useful to quote that sentence than referring to some ancient text from Heian era, for Japanese learners. It is within your right to correct the entry in the way as you like, but I insist to include that sentence for that particular entry. Thank you again for your comment. -- Dangus

mmm... Officially, you are right in saying that the type of pronunciation is correct, so for the dictionary, that should come up front. It only is that the other pronunciation is more prevalent and the Wikipedia entry goes with the custom (here). There seemed to have been a discussion on this topic which really is for TV and other public broadcast, they would not make much of a difference to a listener whether you would pronounce the word in either way. -- Dangus

Line breaks

Please make sure there is never more than a double line break before a section header. If you put a triple line break there will be an extra gap, which is generally not wanted, except perhaps to avoid a clash with a very long right-floating object (but in that case the template {{-}} is preferred). Hi, sorry to bother you again, but words starting with kana with two dots or a circle should have an extra parameter, which is hidx in ja-noun and the related templates. See Template:ja-noun. For example, 上限 has |hidx=しょうげん' -- I went ahead and made the change myself. It works the same way with category links and Wiktionary:Context labels, except that uses skey rather than hidx.

By the way, it doesn't really matter, but if you make a page a blank edit summary, the server will automatically make a summary of the new page. I think that's the usual practice and it would save you some time. Thanks Haplology 17:48, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi, just a follow-up: in hidx replace the first consonant with the unvoiced version of the same one--for example, げんせん from 源泉 should be けんせん', not かんせん'. The idea is that げんせん appears in the "け" section of the dictionary, just like any other Japanese dictionary, right after けんせん. If hidx is かんせん', it will be in the か section. The standard school Romanization system set it to hu instead of fu, although fu seems to have gained more popular support. If wiktionary has it that it uses fu, I will use fu from now on. Thank you. --Dangus
