editFrom Lycian. According to Stephanus of Byzantium, the expected name would be Βουβώνιος (Boubṓnios), but the Lycians instead spelled Βουβωνεύς (Boubōneús). Connected by Ptolemy, Pliny, and Stephanus to Βούδειον (Boúdeion).[1][2]
