Etymology

Borrowed from Old Persian 𐎥𐎢𐎲𐎽𐎢𐎺 (g-u-b-ru-u-v /⁠Gaubᵃruva, Gaubarᵘva⁠/), possibly meaning “chewing/devouring cattle” or “having cattle (or beef) for food”.^[1]^[2]
