Learned borrowing from Koine Greek ἐπιδιορθῶ (epidiorthô), from Ancient Greek ἐπιδιορθόω (epidiorthóō), with -ώνω (-óno) suffix.[1] By surface analysis, επι- (epi-) +‎ διορθώνω (diorthóno).
