  1. young (or possibly a noun, young man, as used by Homer[1])
    τῶν ἕνεκ᾽ ἐξεσίην πολλὴν ὁδὸν ἦλθεν Ὀδυσσεύς, παιδνὸς ἐών· (Odyssey 21.20-21)
    Odysseus went on a mission to them, which required a long journey, even though he was young at the time.
