Usage notes

  • Some derived verbs conjugate as class 4c; those form imperfectives with -ку́сывать. Others conjugate as class 4b and form imperfectives with -куша́ть. Notice that the verbs conjugating as class 4b have more abstract meanings.
  • A number of derived perfective verbs have low-colloquial variants in -куса́ть (see also куса́ть (kusátʹ)).
