Old Armenian edit

Etymology edit

From Proto-Indo-European *Hyekwr̥(-t) (liver). The initial լ- (l-) is problematic. Perhaps, it arose due to contamination with the source of Proto-Germanic *librō (liver) or Hittite [script needed] (lišši-, liver).

Noun edit

լեարդ (leard)

  1. liver
