Etymology edit

According to Martirosyan, who develops J̌ahukyan's idea, perhaps from Proto-Indo-European *gʷelH-r-i(h₂)- or *gʷelH-r-yeh₂-, from *gʷelH-. For the semantics J̌ahukyan compares Russian жалоба (žaloba) : жалеть (žaletʹ) and жалить (žalitʹ).
