An Iranian borrowing: compare Parthian 𐫛𐫡𐫏𐫘𐫛 (prysp /⁠parisp⁠/), Middle Persian 𐫛𐫡𐫏𐫘𐫛 (prysp /⁠parisp⁠/, wall), ultimately from Proto-Iranian *pari- (around) and *swaH- (to move, throw, erect).
