1. to please, be liked by, seem good to (lit. to find grace in the eyes of)

   יִשְׂרָאֵל מְאוֹד מוֹצֵאת חֵן בְּעֵינַי.

   yisraél meód motsét ḥen be'ēnái.

   I like Israel a lot.

Usage notes

• Note that the expletive מְאוֹד (m'ód) precedes this phrase in a sentence: יִשְׂרָאֵל מְאוֹד מוֹצֵאת חֵן בְּעֵינַי. (yisra'él me'ód motsét khén be'einái., “I like Israel a lot.”).
