Attested in Egyptian and Akkadian, but ultimately of unknown origin. More at Biblical Hebrew עַזָּה (Ġazzā).

- ṯumma ḏahaba šamšūnu ʔilā ḡazzata, wa-raʔā hunāka mraʔatan zāniyatan fa-daḵala ʔilayhā.
