ܐܕܢܐ • (ʾeḏnā) f (plural ܐܕܢܗܬܐ (ʾeḏnē) or ܐܕܢܬܐ (ʾeḏnāṯā) or ܐܕܢܐ (ʾeḏnāhāṯā))

(anatomy) ear
- Peshitta, Matthew 11:15:
  ܡܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܐܕ̈ܢܐ ܕܢܫܡܥ ܢܫܡܥ.
  man də-ʾīṯ lēh ʾeḏnē ḏə-nešmaʿ nešmaʿ.
  He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
(animal anatomy) fish gill
(figuratively) anything that sticks out; handle, promontory, bay, gulf

(by extension) bottle

Usually, the plural ܐܕܢܐ (ʾeḏnē) is used for literal senses while ܐܕܢܬܐ (ʾeḏnāṯā) and ܐܕܢܗܬܐ (ʾeḏnāhāṯā) are used for figurative senses.
