Etymology edit

Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘕𑘳𑘖𑘜𑘹 (jujhaṇe), from 𑘕𑘳𑘽𑘖𑘜𑘹 (juṃjhaṇe), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀚𑀼𑀚𑁆𑀛𑀇 (jujjhaï), from Sanskrit युध्यते (yúdhyate). Related to झुंज (jhuñja). Compare Gujarati ઝૂઝવું (jhūjhvũ), Hindustani جُوجْھنَا (jūjhnā) / जूझना (jūjhnā), Punjabi ਜੂਝਣਾ (jūjhṇā) / جُوجھݨا (jūjhṇā), Odia ଜୁଜ୍ଝିବା (jujjhiba), Bengali জুঝা (jujha), Assamese যুঁজা (zũza).
