Etymology edit

Borrowed from Northwestern Indo-Aryan, whence Punjabi ਧੁੰਨੀ (dhunnī), from Sauraseni Prakrit *𑀥𑀼𑀁𑀥𑀺 (*dhuṃdhi), from the same source as Sanskrit तुण्ड (tuṇḍa), probably from Dravidian.
