Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘭𑘹𑘏𑘜𑘹 (sekhaṇe). Compare Gujarati શેકવું (śekvũ), Hindustani سینکْنَا / सेंकना (sẽknā), Sindhi سيڪَڻُ / सेकणु, سيڪو / सेको, سيڪُ / सेकु, Punjabi ਸੇਕਣਾ (sekṇā) / سیکݨا (sekṇā), Nepali सेक्नु (seknu), Odia ସେକିବା (sekiba), ସେକା (seka), Bengali সেকা (śeka), Assamese সেকা (xeka).
