Etymology edit

From Old Khmer dūrayasa (disgrace; disgraced); ultimately from Sanskrit दुर्यशस् (duryaśas, disgrace). Same as ทร (tɔɔn) +‎ ยศ (yót). Doublet of ทุรยศ (tú-rá-yót). Compare Modern Khmer ទុយ៌ស (turəyŭəh).
