Etymology edit

From Sanskrit रस (rasa) or Pali rasa. Cognate with Thai รส (rót), Lao ລົດ (lot), ᦷᦟᧆ (lod) or ᦷᦟᧆᦉ (lodṡ), Khmer រស (rŭəh), Malay rasa. Doublet of ရသာ (ra.sa).
