Etymology

From Thai ขบวร (kà-buuan) ~ กระบวน (grà-buuan), itself from Angkorian Old Khmer khpvar (drawing, sketch, plan), itself an infixed form of Old Khmer gvar (to draw). Compare modern Khmer reflexes ក្បូរ (kbou, decoration), គូរ (kuu, to draw).[1]
