Etymology

From ḥꜣt (“front”) + špswt (plural of špst (“noblewoman”)) in a direct genitive construction, thus ‘foremost of noblewomen’. A longer form of ḥꜣt-špswt is found as ẖnmt-jmn-ḥꜣt-špswt.
