坂道 ‎(hiragana さかみち, romaji sakamichi)

  1. slope, incline, hill (path or road on a hill)
    集落自体 (しゅうらくじたい) (えき)から徒歩20 (とほ20)30分 (30ぷん)ほど坂道 (さかみち) (のぼ)れば姿 (すがた) (あらわ)す。
    Shūraku jitai wa eki kara toho 20 — 30 pun hodo sakamichi o noboreba sugata o arawasu.
    From the station, if you climb the slope you can make out the village after about 20 or 30 minutes.
