  1. Used to form the plural form of regular nouns.
    тылгылӈын → тылгувʼвʼи = finger → (many) fingers
    ӄураӈа → ӄуравʼвʼи = reindeer → (many) reindeers
  2. (with the suffix -на), used to indicate plural objects, many of something.
    тынун вапаӄ → тынунавʼвʼи вапаӄавʼвʼи = I ate a fly agaric → I ate (many) fly agarics

Usage notes edit

In colloquial speech the ending -вʼвʼи is frequently reduced to or removed entirely.
