From Ancient Greek Ἀλκίππη (Alkíppē).

Alcippe f
- A taxonomic genus within the family Alcippeidae – some fulvettas; formerly placed in other families, including Pellorneidae and Timaliidae).
Usage notes edit
- The genus once included more of the fulvettas, but some have been treated as part of a new genus Fulvetta in other families Timaliidae, Sylviidae or Paradoxornithidae.
