From Ancient Greek ἀνά(aná, again) + αγάλλειν(agállein, to adorn oneself, be vain or crazy) (of uncertain origin: said to be of onomatopoeic/nursery origin, but compare Latin Acca Larentia and Sanskrit अक्का(akkā).
