NOTE: This is a name category. It should contain names of specific cities in Hungary, not merely terms related to cities in Hungary, and should also not contain general terms for types of cities in Hungary.

Since the distinction between city and town doesn't exist in the Hungarian language, but there is still considerable difference between the actual settlements, cities are meant here to include only megyei jogú városok (cf. huwiki, approx. “urban counties”, literally “cities with county rights”) and the capital: Békéscsaba, Budapest, Debrecen, Dunaújváros, Eger, Érd, Győr, Hódmezővásárhely, Kaposvár, Kecskemét, Miskolc, Nagykanizsa, Nyíregyháza, Pécs, Salgótarján, Sopron, Szeged, Székesfehérvár, Szekszárd, Szolnok, Szombathely, Tatabánya, Veszprém, and Zalaegerszeg. All other Hungarian settlements should be moved to the category of Hungarian towns or (if applicable) villages.
