Hajong alphabet

edit

@DerekWinters Hi, according to Omniglot, the Hajong alphabet doesn't have স, শ, ঞ, য. It uses only ছ for /s/ Sagir Ahmed Msa (talk) 16:49, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Sagir Ahmed Msa: Hmm interesting, but according to the [1] it uses some of them. DerekWinters (talk) 17:27, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@DerekWinters Here the spellings are based on the spellings in the source languages. For example, the romanisation of the word সাক is "hak" and the romanisation of the word সাট is "sâit" there. As you can see, they don't match. সাক is based on Assamese শাক (xak) and সাট is based on Bengali ষাট (śaṭ). According to the alphabet in omniglot, they should be spelled as হাক and ছৗইত respectively if the romanisations are phonetic. Sagir Ahmed Msa (talk) 17:50, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
