Reconstructed language?

It isn't entirely true that Illyrian is reconstructed. Most attestations are indirect, mostly personal names uses in texts written in otehr languages, but three words are directly attested in glosses: ῥίνος (rhínos, “fog, mist”), Δευάδαι (Deuádai, “satyrs”), and sabaia (“'a certain beverage'”). We treat those as words in their respective languages; the desinences certainly indicate that they are not simply a transcription of the Illyrian, but instead modified in the languages that borrowed them.
