  V roce 1950 byli všichni premonstráti ze Svatého Kopečka vyhnáni a roku 1959 došlo k přejmenování Svatého Kopečka na Kopeček u Olomouce. V roce 1990 se na Svatý Kopeček vrátili mniši řádu premonstrátů a původní název obce.
  In 1950 all Premonstratensians were expelled from Svatý Kopeček and in 1959 Svatý Kopeček was renamed as Kopeček u Olomouce. In 1990 the monks and the original name of the municipality returned.
