Named after American orthopedic surgeon Dudley Joy Morton (1884–1960).

  1. (medicine) A type of brachymetatarsia where the first metatarsal is shortened in relation to the second, promoting an anterior position of the second metatarsal-phalangeal joint in relation to the hallux (big toe).
