Possibly from Proto-Indo-European *(h₁)s-ér-ih₂ ~ *(h₁)s-r̥-yeh₂, from *(h₁)ós-r̥, *(h₁)és-r-. Compare Tocharian B ṣarya (“lady”).^[1]
