Etymology edit
Action noun of *posočiti (“to point out”), from *po- + *sočiti + *-a. Morphologically identical with Lithuanian pãsaka (“fairy tale”), Latvian pasaka (“legend, folktale”) (originally meaning “something said, implied”).
