Silvolde
Dutch edit
Etymology edit
First attested as suluelda in 838. Compound of wold (“marshy forest”) with an unclear first component. The earliest attestation hints at veld (“field”) as the second component. Some researchers interpret suluelda as actually referring to Zilven.
