From Levantine Arabic تعال هون (ta'la hon, “come here”).

The expression became popularized in August 2022 by the rapper Hassan Tammo, with the track "Ta3la hon" (see quote). Its use was amplified over time through Internet culture; by the summer of 2024 it had become general Gen Z slang.

(youth slang, Internet slang, often derogatory) An adherent of an urban subculture of males aged between about 13 and 25, typically but not necessarily of Middle Eastern origin, characterized, among other things, by a passion for German hip hop and wearing designer labels. Adherents are typically viewed in a negative light and associated with crime, particularly Knife crime.

      Der Begriff „Talahon“ beschreibt eine Gruppe von Jugendlichen mit bestimmten Eigenschaften. Man meint damit meist junge Männer im Alter zwischen 10 und 25 Jahren, die in der Öffentlichkeit rumhängen. In der Regel bezieht sich „Talahon“ auf Männer mit einem migrantischen Hintergrund. Dabei weisen sie einige stereotypische Merkmale auf.       The term "Talahon" describes a group of young people with certain characteristics. It usually refers to young men between the ages of 10 and 25 who hang out in public. "Talahon" usually refers to men with a migrant background. They have some stereotypical characteristics. These include "men's handbags" and (mostly fake) fanny packs from brands such as Gucci, EA7 jackets, football jerseys from international teams such as Paris St. Germain or AC Milan, Nike shoes, caps, gold chains hanging outwards and jeans or jogging pants, as well as AirPods that hang in their ears even when talking to each other. A gelled middle-parted hairstyle, disposable vapes and energy drinks, especially from Red Bull, are also part of the Talahons' appearance.
