I do wonder why this is spelt and standardized as ледзьве (ljedzʹvje) as opposed to *ледзве (*ljedzvje) without the soft sign, since we literally have the word дзве (dzvje), and it's well-established that дз is palatalized before в like in дзверы (dzvjery). @Ssvb can you find any records of people spelling this in literature as ледзве (ljedzvje) without the soft sign?
