I have the same book! 堯 seems to be a very rare name for the Shan people, maybe used in Thailand only. A page from the Thai Embassy in Chengdu uses it (尧族), but keeps it distinct from 掸族; both belong to 大泰族 (the big Tai). Wyang (talk) 01:29, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
