@Tooironic: I asked about example sentence because I wanted to know if it was used together (睡覺) or separately as a verb + a noun (睡……覺). Something toneless-like does exist in my accent, but when separately, e.g. 睡一覺. Never when used as a single word. I think that toneless-like 覺 as in 睡一覺 is of 次重音 so I think it is still not toneless.
