What does the 光 in 莒光 mean?

I was thinking that the 光 in 莒光 means 光復, as in "retake Ju", but the only instance of the character 光 in the definition for 莒光 at [1] is 發揚光大, and there is technically no definition of 光 [2] that means 光復. See also Talk:光復. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 00:38, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
