- @Wyang: I see. 䴈 is out of the scope of 國語一字多音審訂表, so I guess there's no absolute standard here. The Dictionary of Chinese Character Variants and CNS have ao3 though. Is yao1 restricted to the word 鶆䴈? — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 09:11, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- The dictionary doesn't have 䴈 on its own, only 鶆䴈:

- 〔動〕 鳥名，似鴕鳥而體形較小。
