@AryamanA Thanks for the etymology fix. But doesn't it function more as a determiner here than a pronoun? DerekWinters (talk) 23:13, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@DerekWinters: It is the same as Hindi यह (yah), it means "this (one)" (so it can be used by itself). —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 23:14, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
@AryamanA: Hmmm but then shouldn't the Hindi term be split into determiner and pronoun. The यह in यह घर doesn't actually stand for anything. DerekWinters (talk) 23:20, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
@DerekWinters: Oh, I guess you're right. I'll split it up then.
On an unrelated note, Ashokan Prakrit would be perfect for a {{zh-dial-syn}} style template. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 23:23, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
@AryamanA: Oh I like that idea very much! Yeah it's perfect. DerekWinters (talk) 23:25, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
