Placement of definitions edit
I'm not entirely sure where to put the individual definitions for the different types of uses of this character (hyphen, dash, minus sign). The definitions should at least be at the entries for the more specific characters, and so to avoid duplication I've just linked this character to the other ones. Polysynthetic languages? edit
In analysis of the grammar of polysynthetic languages, typically "words" (spaceless strings) are divided into morphemes by hyphens, each of which receive a gloss (also hyphen-delimited), as on w:Greenlandic language. - Em dash (—). This example is what Wikipedia describes as a "colon-like use" of an em dash.
- I'm not sure we currently have a definition at — that adequately covers this, though. It's not interruption or aposiopesis, parenthesis, quotation, or definition. 70.172.194.25 17:51, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
