- Well, it could be a matter of the meaning. Something like "the position of a janissary, i.e. of a person being a janissary" vs. "the body of the janissaries, all janissaries together". 1790 citation is rather about the position, 1844 about the body. With different meanings, three citations for each are needed, which for this term could be harder. --Schläsinger X (talk) 11:31, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
